Scrimshaw 8Ball Pupil

I needed to see how the real piece of ivory was going to work out, so I started with this piece. I have a lot more to do, but wanted to get this up for posterity sake. I can see I need to make the darks darker so the lights will stand out more, especially the reflection to the left of the pupil. The eyelashes are going to be a bitch.
